Best Practices Institute
The Best Practices Institute (BPI) is a 3-day conference held in the spring that examines how differentiation looks through the lens of a particular curricular framework or content area (i.e. math, literacy, science, technology).
Our next Best Practices Institute is tentatively scheduled for March 10-12, 2011.
Check back for updates on the 2011 BPI theme and presenters.
Fall Symposium
The Fall Symposium is a compact, 2-day conference designed for educators who are beginning the journey toward differentiation. This institute helps participants gain an understanding of the attitudes and practices that support optimal learning environments for today’s diverse learners.
This year’s Fall Symposium: Getting Started with Differentiation is tentatively scheduled for November 19-20, 2010.
Key presenters include Carol Tomlinson, Kristina Doubet, Marcia Imbeau, and a host of other amazing contributors. Register early! (Spaces are limited.)
Summer Institute on Academic Diversity
Now in its 15th year, the Summer Institute on Academic Diversity (SIAD) is a 5-day conference designed to reinforce the principles and practices of differentiation. SIAD features morning sessions with Dr. Carol Tomlinson, afternoon break-out sessions with DI experts from across the country, as well as personalized sessions tailored for individual grade level, subject area, or job specific needs.
Two summer institutes are offered based on participants’ experience with DI:
- July 12-16, 2010 – Week One is the beginning-level institute designed for educators with limited experience and comfort with implementing or guiding differentiated instruction.
- July 19-23, 2010 – Week Two is designed for educators who have previously attended the beginning-level SIAD or whose comfort and experience with differentiated instruction are already established.
Summer is coming soon and attendance is limited. Register now!
